There are two types of non-woven flap wheels, non-woven only abrasive flaps where finishing is the primary application interleaf with alternating cloth and non-woven abrasive flaps (less conformable, more aggressive) for stock removal and finishing. Interleaf flap wheels must always be run in the direction indicated by the arrow. The Bear-Tex® AO fine grit steel shank non-woven flap wheel is a superior choice for fine grit blending and for handling cleaning applications quickly. The premium aluminum oxide grain features a strong resin bond and web that automatically wears away to continually expose fresh abrasives. This non-woven flap wheel is tough and durable but still easily conforms to any shape or contour without requiring you to change the workpiece dimension. It's designed to give you great balance and a chatter-free finish and enables you to change tools quickly that have a collet design.
