Conflict Minerals Policy

A&M Industrial, Inc. fully supports our customers’ and suppliers’ efforts to comply with Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. This section outlines the requirements for assessing and reporting the use of conflict minerals—tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold—commonly used across a wide range of industries. These minerals often originate from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoining countries, where mining or trade may contribute to human rights abuses.

As a global distributor of industrial tools and supplies, A&M Industrial offers hundreds of thousands of products manufactured by hundreds of companies worldwide. Because we are several tiers removed from the source of raw materials, we recognize the challenges in fully tracing conflict minerals to their origin. Nevertheless, A&M Industrial is committed to supporting the objectives of the Dodd-Frank Act and encourages our suppliers to adopt similar responsible sourcing practices.

We expect all members of our supply chain to provide products that are conflict-free and compliant with Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act. We also encourage our suppliers to establish and maintain systems that enable the identification and traceability of minerals used in their products.

Our ongoing efforts include collaborating with suppliers to improve transparency and traceability within the supply chain and to eliminate any products identified as non-compliant. At A&M Industrial, we are committed to responsible corporate citizenship and to providing our customers with products that are ethically and responsibly sourced.

A&M Industrial supports the humanitarian goals of the Dodd-Frank Act and urges all manufacturers and partners to embrace these same standards in their operations.
