The hexagonal threaded shank is designed for use in right angle drilling heads, whilst the stub length makes the drill ideal for drilling in confined areas. TS41 drills have a 135 deg split point to reduce the push force needed and help with self-centering, a steam oxide finish which prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the drill for accurate holes and a 1/4-28 thread.
